Cookies
Each workspace has a cookie jar. Cookies a response sets are kept in it and sent with later requests to the sites that set them. Open the cookie manager from Settings > Certificates and cookies, or choose Open cookie manager in the command palette, to read and delete them.
The same Settings section opens the certificate manager, which Auth and transport describes. Both are on the desktop only: in the web client, Settings says so.
Code snippets
Mod+Alt+C opens the request as code, in any of 14 languages:
- cURL, HTTPie, wget and PowerShell
- Python requests
- JavaScript fetch and Node axios
- Go net/http, Java HttpClient, C# HttpClient and Rust reqwest
- Ruby net/http, PHP cURL and Swift URLSession
GraphQL requests have snippets in each of them, and gRPC requests have a grpcurl
command. A secret stays a {{reference}} in the snippet rather than its value.
Pre-request scripts and stored cookies aren't part of a snippet.
Export
Choose Export… on a collection or folder to download it as a Postman v2.1 collection, a Porticol file, or an OpenAPI 3 document where the requests can be described in one. Secret values are left out, and the export says what else it couldn't include, such as transport settings.
Export an environment as a Postman environment file from the environment's menu.
On a computer whose organisation has turned exporting off, these commands are unavailable; see Managed deployment.
